I still have a stash of Nymo and recently dragged it out to use. I had some see through crystals to use and didn't want crystal o black FireLine being seen so I used a coloured Nymo. It served to remind me how much I like FireLine. I am a one needle kind of guy.
Cheers….PatrickPatrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01293726278038355302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1605560048689879708.post-34300965562012838042013-12-21T12:01:28.722-08:002013-12-21T12:01:28.722-08:00Hi Val, thanks for the comment. I didn't want it to sound like I was "teaching my grandmother to suck eggs" - if you know what I mean.
Cheers…..PatrickPatrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01293726278038355302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1605560048689879708.post-38207908624094977682013-12-20T20:46:48.595-08:002013-12-20T20:46:48.595-08:00I used Nymo as a new beader and kept with it for y...I used Nymo as a new beader and kept with it for years. Once One-G thread hit the market and I tried it, it is my preferred thread for fringe. I use all my old Nymo for trial pieces while designing.Glorious Beadshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05258756265602741489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1605560048689879708.post-71999141378277243252013-12-20T19:08:14.836-08:002013-12-20T19:08:14.836-08:00Try KO beading thread for soft tension especially ...Try KO beading thread for soft tension especially in fringing. It does not fray as badly as Nymo or S-lon size D, is smoother going through the beads. When I do flat right angle weave, I use the two needle method because even sewing twice I don't get the uniformity I like. . .and it's the first way I learned.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17407670132920715270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1605560048689879708.post-53687389203568778592013-12-20T15:25:07.403-08:002013-12-20T15:25:07.403-08:00Excellent post, Patrick! I'm learning to slacken just a tad bit on some of my projects unless firm tension is better. I also use Nymo for fringing for the exact reason you posted! I also sew through RAW twice! It holds the tension better and, like you said, it arranges the beads nicer. Great tips!Valoriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16017172498458324795noreply@blogger.com
