I know this sounds like a juvenile question, but here's the rest of it - I keep reading about different threads not standing up to the test of time, so was wondering what you use and how long you've used it to know if it's a risk for breakage or shredding several years down the road? Any words of wisdom on this topic? Thanks! I think I am going to try and put the snaps in the center of a peyote band and then make lots of different colored 'snap flowers' then I can change out the color combos anytime!!! how funtastic!!! I am thinking a 2 drop peyote with 8/0 hex beads. and then attached the snap bottoms and make the flowers :) Weekends are for Beading :)Judi Deanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04108445546029121501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1605560048689879708.post-84938774243838596172013-08-02T13:35:28.781-07:002013-08-02T13:35:28.781-07:00Thanks a lot. Personally I'm all over the place on this one...sometimes I sketch, sometimes the beads tell me what they want to do but most of the time it's my nagging muse, Morganna. I have times when I'm buying a certain type of bead and have no idea why, but Morganna (my creative sub-conscious) knows, and eventually she tells me :) If you follow my blog "TheBeadedCarpet.blogspot.com" you'll get to know more about Morganna who is basically a muse on steroids that I have to mentally lock in the closet at times. And no, I'm not crazy...my Mom had me tested ;)
Anonymous....check your sewing store for the snaps, they are a pretty universal things.
AnnieAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1605560048689879708.post-33908938688692790612013-08-02T08:18:23.069-07:002013-08-02T08:18:23.069-07:00Thank you for the snap pattern. The Maven Meld was my favorite contest because having something to work from is less intimidating than starting from scratch so it worked all levels of beaders. I would advise if we did it again to have three levels though, Novice, Advanced and Designer, it's hard for a newer beader to enter a contest where they'll be up against some of the top designers...and I'm all about encouraging new designers :)Mikkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14939739757623364406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1605560048689879708.post-4921392664438218562013-08-01T10:42:45.572-07:002013-08-01T10:42:45.572-07:00I had just discovered the Mavens, and you disappea...I had just discovered the Mavens, and you disappeared!
